Fabien Novarino est un artiste peintre, sculpteur, plasticien, photographe français, né en 1963. Il débute sa carrière en 1990. Il commence à peindre très jeune mais dès l’adolescence, il s’intéresse également à la photographie. Il prend ses premiers clichés à l’âge de 12 ans et s’exerce au laboratoire noir et blanc. Il participe à de nombreuses expositions et concours amateurs. Au début des années 1980, alors étudiant en littérature à Paris, il travaille en free lance pour l’agence Vandystadt qui diffuse ses images de sport et de spectacle. Il se fait embaucher comme tireur dans un laboratoire minute. Puis, il est engagé comme opérateur de studio spécialisé dans la photographie publicitaire et industrielle. Sa carrière de peintre prenant de l’essor, il délaisse un temps la photo pour se consacrer à des oeuvres picturales inspirées des arrières pays provençaux puis des thèmes urbains qui lui offrent une dimension internationale. En 2010, réunissant ses deux passions, peinture et photographie, son oeuvre s’oriente vers un travail de montage photo peint. En 2020, en parallèle des ces création il développe une collection uniquement composée de photographies. Ce travail fait de transparences, de surimpressions et de contrastes, évoque les thèmes qui lui sont chers: l’urbain, le voyage, les personnages féminins et l’abstrait. - Fabien Novarino is a French painter, sculptor, visual artist and photographer, born in 1963. He began his career in 1990. He started painting at a very young age, but as a teenager he also became interested in photography. He took his first photos at the age of 12 and practiced in the black and white laboratory. He participates in numerous exhibitions and amateur competitions. In the early 1980s, while studying literature in Paris, he worked as a freelancer for the Vandystadt agency, which distributed his images of sports and entertainment. He gets hired as a shooter in a “minute” photo laboratory. Then, he was hired as a studio operator specializing in advertising and industrial photography. His career as a painter taking off, he left photography for a while to devote himself to pictorial works inspired by the Provençal hinterlands and then urban themes which gave him an international dimension. In 2010, bringing together his two passions, painting and photography, his work moved towards painted photo montage work. In 2020, in parallel with these creations, he developed a collection composed solely of photographs. This work, made of transparencies, superimpositions and contrasts, evokes the themes that are dear to him: the urban, travel, female characters and the abstract.
